Lower Graveyard - Santa Clara River Reserve

TRAIL SUMMARY
Lower Graveyard is another trail found at the Anasazi Tempi’po’op junction. The path is well marked and pretty easy to follow. Winding towards the Santa Clara/Ivins mountains, the trail connects with Cholla trail after about 1 mile. The trail descends over a few washes and passes over old river beds. There is a consistent view of the area and the path passes a few trees that are probably pretty in the spring. Over this 2 mile round trip trail is easy to follow and great for walking a dog or just exploring the Santa Clara River Reserve.

DIRECTIONS TO TRAILHEAD
Directions to Trailhead. From St George, head north on Bluff Street for 2.1 miles and turn left onto Sunset Blvd. Continue 4.5 miles through Santa Clara, and as you head up the hill toward Ivins, take the first left. This road will quickly turn to dirt and should lead you down, across a wash and to a large parking area for the trail head. Graveyard Wash trailhead is on the right with space to park. It is a few hundred feet before the Tukupetsi trailhead. There is a sign indicating area.
Locating the trail is generally found by following the Upper Graveyard trail. At the end of this trail there is a trail junction where Lower Graveyard and other trails can be accessed. Overall, trail can be accessed after a 0.3 mi hike through Upper Graveyard.
