Linking Red Reef East and Anasazi, Metate is another connector trail. This short path provides quick access to explore the other trails in the Red Cliffs Recreation Area. Though short, the trail is very scenic. It is often used as an easier access for those going to explore the Anasazi ruins from other trails.

Directions to trailhead: Get on I-15 N from E 700 S and E 100 N/St George Blvd. Follow I-15 N to Old Hwy 91. Take exit 22 from I-15 N. Continue on Old Hwy 91 until destination.

Animals: Typical animal life for Southern Utah lowland hiking.
This trail just connects the Red Reef East trail with the Anasazi trail.
