RIM RUNNER TRAIL – ST GEORGE, UT
Difficulty Level: Intermediate
Distance: 5 miles round-trip
TRAIL SUMMARY
Rim Runner (Rim Reaper, Rim Rock, Rim Ramble) is a beginner-intermediate trail that’s less crowded than the nearby Barrel-Roll trail. This trial can be a great way to learn how to maneuver through some mild technical rocks, while still being able to enjoy fast, flowing sections. The views are amazing throughout the ride, especially at the peak of Rim Runner. Rim Rock Trail can also be accessed at the Rim Runner Loop if more ride time is desired.

DIRECTIONS TO TRAILHEAD
Get Directions to Trailhead. Rim Runner can be hard to find, so use a GPS if available. From St George, go west to Santa Clara, and drive through most of the town. Turn left onto Gates Lane, just before the Jacob Hamblin house. Go straight until you reach the dirt road, then either park if you don’t have a good 4WD vehicle, or continue on the road for approximately .25 miles or until you reach the fork in the road. Take the first right, and continue until you reach the Cove Wash Trail Head.
Although the road continues on, it is very rough, so park at the Cove Wash Trail Head and continue on bike. Take the road down, then take the left. Ride up the steep hill, and you’ll eventually see a bike trail heading to the right. Follow it, and in about .25 miles, you’ll reach the Rim Runner Trail Head. Cross the fence, then take a left onto Rim Reaper. Continue upwards, following the signs until you get to Rim Runner Loop, which will lead to the peak of the trail system. If more ride time is desired, take a left after the Loop to merge into Rim Rock Loop,
