Winchester - Red Cliffs Desert Reserve
Difficulty Level: Easy
Distance: 3.2 miles round trip
TRAIL SUMMARY
Winchester is a good trail near the Yellow Knolls trailhead. The dirt path descends to follow a service route until reaching behind The Ledges golf course. There is a pretty steep descent at the beginning of the trail but it offers a great view of the trail and the surrounding area. Snow Canyon can be seen throughout the hike as well as a wide view of St. George and its wildness area. The hike is easy and very clear. Black Gulch is accessed along trail. Overall, Winchester is fun trail that could offer great views durning sunset. It is considered moderate mainly because of the sharp decline/incline near the beginning of the trail.
