TRAIL SUMMARY
Tortoise Walk is the best excursion in Snow Canyon State Park for kids. The trail is short, easy to walk, and educational. Along the path are multiple pillars with information regarding desert tortoises and other wildlife living within Snow Canyon. Because the trail is short, it is easy to keep an eye on kids as they run ahead. Strollers are not recommended but are doable. The trail’s focus point is a neat statue of a desert tortoise which really captures the essence of Snow Canyon. Views along the trail are also spectacular and overall, the trail is great for all!

Directions to trailhead: Follow S 700 E to Bluff St then continue straight on UT-18 N after about 10 miles, turn left onto Snow Canyon Dr. Destination is on the left within the Upper Galoot parking area.
