The South Fork of Taylor Creek Trail is a short, less traveled trail that ventures up into one of the “finger” canyons. It is covered in soft, green overgrowth that makes it nice and cool during the day. This is a scenic, easy trail that is great for Spring, Summer, and Fall, but may closed during the snow season. The trail is a single track through the woods that ends up in a nice clearing next to some walls that look like they could be great for an amateur rock climber. This hike is good for the whole family and is another great option for the hot Southern Utah weather!

Information Coming
HikeStGeorge is a project that began as a seedling for Tim LeBaron in the early part of 2008, but really didn’t begin to blossom until the latter part of 2011. The original idea behind the site was to bring to light all of the harder to find, or “less known” hidden gems of the area. It was more of a pet project than anything. As excitement about the site began to spread, there was more of a push to develop information about all hikes in the Southern Utah Region.

Just a couple of quick fyi’s there is a fairly steep staircase at the head of the trail, going down, but it is still there coming out, so it does end your hike with a definite workout. Also, there may be few small water crossings, hence the creek part. Obviously, taking kids is an option, but not in a stroller. Younger kids may need a piggy back ride, and help in some areas. This hike turns into a beautiful grotto and is partially shaded.
