Pickleball Trail is a series of trails that lead to pickleball courts in the Kayenta area. Originally the trail was heavily marked with different colored flags which indicated a different length that formed different loops. (Ex: Red = first third of trail, yellow = second third, and blue = final third). These flags, however, have faded and been lost due to weather. The path still remains clear but the trail can get confusing as the trail splits to form the different loops. Below is a GPX map with a 3.5 mile round trip option. This option tries to stick to the left as it leads to the pickleball courts. The courts are found about 1.5 miles from the trailhead. Though this trail is famous for bikers, it is becoming more popular for hikers as well. Throughout the entire hike there is a beautiful view of the red rocks and the Kayenta area.
The trailhead is found across the street from the entrance to the Anasazi Petroglyphs. There is a pull-off on the side of the road with enough space for parking. A small sign marks the entrance to the hike.
